Here come the answers. . .
Sample 1 is limestone because it is gray and reacts to acid.
Sample 2 is granite because it is hard, doesn't react to acid,
and has grains of different colors.
Sample 3 is marble because it fizzes, is soft, and has large crystals.
Use the tests to discover what some of your neighborhood rocks might be.
